For this week, we have a song by Last Note, one of my favorite composers.
Last Note is a relatively new producer who started uploading songs only at the end of 2010. Since then, most of his songs have been hits, staying at the top of the rankings for 1 or 2 days. His most popular songs which made it to the hall of fame are Setsuna Trip and Ren'ai Yuusha.
This song is not exactly new, it's been released in an utaite compilation album “endless resist” where Last Note remixes all the songs himself. Osananaburu is covered by MidoriInu in this album but the GUMI version is not released at this point. The GUMI version was only released in Last Note's first album “first trip”. On a side note, I highly recommend MidoriInu's cover of this songs. It's already a cute song in the first place but she managed to make it sound even cuter. You can listen to it here.
The song's title is read as “Osana na Buru” which would translate to “Childhood Blues” as you can see in the video. The song is typical Last Note's style, upbeat and cheerful (yes, it gets cheerful later). GUMI is tuned very nicely here, cute and doesn't sound very electronic, as with all of his other songs.
Also, I cannot stress this enough, but MidoriInu's version is extremely cute. Seriously, go listen to it.
