After the sudden earthquake last episode, Maou-san manage to save the civilians caught in the midst of the disaster by using his demon powers which somehow got temporarily restored during the commotion. This further solidifies the theory that someone is using Idea Link to connect this world to Ente Isla to travel in between worlds. For what purpose is yet unknown.
Emi had other worries to think about. Maou-san's actions in saving the people during the earthquake caused her to feel conflicted over her feelings towards Maou. I do feel the same way. Is he good? Is he bad? In Ente Isla, he was thought to be a savage and vicious ruler but now he seems so nice. Why is he so different from his previous self?
Though Chiho does harbor some romantic affection towards Maou, the question is will Maou reciprocate those feeling of affection? It's too soon to say what he feels towards her. We might never know the answer as the arrival of Lucifer threatens to disrupt Maou-san's simple life. Is he a friend? Probably not from the way he destroyed the public place after he recharged his power from feeding on Chiho's negative emotions. The two, Maou and Lucifer, finally meet face to face amongst a pile of rubble, probably raring to square off with one another.
I was excited to see Maou in his true form but that lasted only for a short while but at least we got to see the appearance of Lucifer. That reminds me, the small tidbits of information scattered around this episode mentioned of a mugger stealing things. May have been a foreshadowing to Lucifer's attempt in adapting to Japan.
Lucifer's appearance is not the only twist to the story. Miki-T, the landlady, knows about Ente Isla and Maou-san's predicament. I did feel there was something odd about her but what does that make her? Friend or Foe? Who is she? find out next week!!!
