Woah things are moving pretty fast plotwise compared to the manga. At this rate they’ll probably catch up to the latest chapter of the manga pretty soon even with the ten episode limit.

That said, it didn’t really feel as rushed as how I described it to be. For starters, a comedy-centric show may not feel as rushed as one that has heavy plot elements to it. Basically this episode was just an ask Wolf-boy for book, fight Wolf-boy for book, get book sort of plot. A kinda of a fetch quest. We get to know more about Wolf-boy too. He is one of the territory boss who have conquered most of the western region. (Funny how the place looks like the Wild West) Despite his initial scary demeanor and cold attitude, he does have a soft spot for girls. His inner monologue totally shows that side of him pretty well, albeit in a comical way.

DEM ABS!!!

The scene I was looking forward to was of course the boxing match. It was pretty satisfactory though short. The focus was not in the battle itself but on Staz’s cheap tricks in order to overcome Wolf-boy’s overwhelming strength, which are his close combat attacks. In that sense, it feels like an actual shonen battle. Every shonen battle must have the “this isn’t even my final form yet!!!” scene when Wolf-boy transform into a…. you guessed it a wolf. A half humanoid, half wolf to be more precise. Even so, Staz was able to subdue him using his ZIP attack. Unexpectedly, Fuyumi-chan forced Staz to stop the battle. She just could not bear to see two friends fight each other. It was a pretty dawww moment for Fuyumi-chan. If anyone’s to be blamed for that, it should be Hydra Bell for making those two fight in the first place. It would have a friendly one on one bowling match. But that wouldn’t have been as exciting would it?

A shocking revelation!!!

Staz did manage to get the book he has been searching for, (Hydra Bell the whole time you… -_-) but alas he can’t seem to read its contents. No one else could either. (If its a demon world book, it might be latin? :/) The easiest choice of action would be to ask the author himself. Strangely, Staz was shocked when he finds out the identity of the author! Who could it be? Will it be revealed next week?
