Today’s offering is DECO*27′s newest original song.
This is the third time I’m featuring a DECO*27 song. If you haven’t read the previous two, I did a very short introduction about him on my Mozaik Role post. Go check it out if you’re interested. This song is his 5 year anniversary song, and if you haven’t figured it out from the title yet, it’s related to Ai Kotoba.
This song is actually 3/4 original, 1/4 of the old Ai Kotoba and just a tiny bit of Yume Yume. As a result, it still sounds like a new song, but invokes an extreme nostalgia for the long time fans. The style of the song also harkens back to the days when he was composing songs like Ai Kotoba, with stuff like repeating melody line, more emphasis on Miku’s vocals and less focus on instrumentals and synthetic sounds. The whole song is basically fan-service to the old-timers.
The lyrics are pretty much DECO*27 thanking all his fans for 5 years of support and also references the old Ai Kotoba. There’s an English translation available here. This is a piano arrangement by Kanade and sung by Rairu. It feels really nice and calming to listen to this version.
As usual, Soraru’s cover is normal, but his voice fits the song very nicely.

Shairu’s voice is an almost perfect balance between cute and beautiful. This cover is definitely the best I’ve listened to so far.
