I’m pretty sure I made a post about this sometime back but I forgot if I actually did and I’m too lazy to find it. The first “season” of the series has been finished recently so I thought maybe I’d do a review of it again. It’s a cute little manga of a girl who fights monsters in her dreams. It’s also manga artist Yeo Hui Xuan’s foray into the local comic scene!
In this short post, I’ll be giving you the gist of the story along with the cute little trinkets you can get when you go down to their booth during an event!
This story is about Yume, her teacher Muca the Night Lynx, and her ragtag group of friends as she travels the Dreamscape to protect the sleeping humans from the Boumas, nightmare producing creatures that feed on human souls. If the human soul is lost in the Dreamscape, the human will be left in a coma in the real world. It’s up to Yume and her friends to train hard and fast to combat this never ending nightmares!
The gist of the story is that Boumas exist as long as humans have evil thoughts and Dreamwalkers are needed to combat this threat to the Dreamscape. The story is about how Yume becomes a Dreamwalker and slowly work her way up to a Master Dreamwalker one day along with her friends. Along the way she will meet resistance from both Boumas and a group of evil Dreamwalkers. There will be a twist in the story and some unexpected things like Yume’s dad being a Dreamwalker (find out more here) and some other stuff.
