Today we have a song by HitoshizukuP x Yama△. It’s a seriously underrated song, with only 50k views and 7 covers, 6 of which aren’t really that great.
The collaboration of HitoshizukuP x Yama△ is probably best known for their Night and Synchronicity series of songs. All of their songs have a story behind them and can get pretty complex sometimes. As a duet, they don’t have a fixed style, but HitoshizukuP herself specializes in songs with a strong emphasis on the piano like this song here.
The song starts out as a normal piano ballad, but it gradually builds up to a really glorious chorus at the end. The build-up is really well done in this song, with additional instruments added in only during the choruses. IA’s voice nicely fits this song, though I wish they could’ve tuned her to be smoother.
As for the lyrics, they’re really quite sad. It talks about a couple, with the girl passing away and leaving the man behind. You can read the English translation here.
Like I said at the beginning of this post, there are only 7 covers for this song, 6 of which are not very good. The remaining one, however, is simply stunning. Her cover is basically what made me pick this song to write about. So, without further ado, here it is:
This cover is sung by Kijineko. The amount of power and emotion put into this cover is seriously amazing, and it only goes up from the start of the song. The final chorus really blew me away. Echoes, overlaps, just amazing.
